Recently,
I discovered Providence at a Trial Lawyers Association meeting.
What a discovery!
As an
attorney, I have had to settle cases prematurely in order
to save my clients from financial
ruin. After understanding that Providence can financially
assist my clients on a 100% contingent basis, I decided
to give their information to my clients that were in desperate
financial need.
I
cannot stress the difference they have made in my personal
legal practice. Clients would call on a daily basis needing
immediate resolution to their case because of financial pressures.
Now the time spent by my staff taking and listening to these
calls has been cut to a fraction. Providence gave my clients
the benefit of financial stability, while I focused on resolution
of the case.
Providence
is a highly credible organization, knowledgeable in the
area of financial support for litigation. Providence has
allowed my organization to continue in the litigation process
by providing the funding necessary to increase the value
of my cases. We were experiencing signficant growth which
caused a temporary issue with cashflow for the firm. Providence
provided funding to bridge the gap.
We
have utlized their services for several cases and have found
them to provide the most professional form of financial solutions
in the industry for both the firm and our clients.
Had
I known about the services Providence provided prior to
settling a recent case with a major discount retailer, we
could have settled for an additional $300,000. At the time,
my client could not afford to withstand an arduous litigation
process.
Using
funding provided by Providence would have allowed my client
the ability to pay overdue bills, as well as other immediate
needs. Without this funding, premature settlement was our
only option.
After
working with Providence, I have found the staff to be competent
in their analysis, offering solid counsel, while providing
top financial solutions to both my plaintiffs and my firm.
Providence
is a qualified and accomplished organization, continually
demonstrating a professional and accommodating attitude. Through
their Case Funding Program, we have been able to significantly
expand the number of solid cases our firm can manage.

1997
was a devastating year for Patrick of Dayton, Ohio.
Left
permanently injured from an automobile accident, Patrick
was unable to keep his job. He was under tremendous financial
pressure, and after two years with little or no income,
Patrick knew he would have to do something soon.
His
attorney felt confident that he would get a $400,000 settlement,
but the insurance companies were stalling, and Patrick was
running out of time and money. He would have to settle for
their first offer of $100,000 unless he could find a way
to stay financially stable until the case was settled.

After
hearing about Providence from his attorney, he contacted
them, and within days he received a $10,000 cash advance.
He was able to endure the wait until his attorney was able
to settle the case. Patrick was ultimately awarded a settlement
of $380,000.
The
funds Patrick received were contingent on the outcome of
the settlement. When the case settled successfully, Patrick
repaid the advance.
Mike,
a truck driver and a single parent of three small children,
was in a desperate situation when his attorney led him
to Providence. In one afternoon, Mike's world was torn
apart as he was struck by two teens drag racing. His injuries,
including two crushed heels, left him unable to work.
Because of the loss of income, he and his children were
evicted from their home.
He
was able to move in with a friend, but after a few days,
needed to leave their house as well. He and his children
spent the weekend in a 1979 LTD Ford.
Because
of Mike's situation, his attorney was pressured to try
and settle prematurely for $50,000. However, within hours
of hearing about and reviewing the case, Providence was
able to advance Mike $15,000. This money was able to sustain
Mike and his children for the six months it took for him
to be awarded $475,000.
Earlier
this year, Rob was hit by a commercial van outside Lexington,
KY. Hospitalized for weeks due to the injuries, Rob was
unable to return to his job as a teacher. His wife, who
stayed at home with their child, went into
labor and delivered their second child prematurely.
His
wife was at home with two children, no formula, no diapers,
and no way to earn an income. There was no one for them
to call and no local family. Providence reviewed the case
and approved it for funding. Immediately, money was sent
to sustain the family for a three to four month period.
Originally,
the insurance company offered Rob $47,000. With
the assistance of Providence, Rob was able to avoid a
premature settlement and eventually settle for $275,000.

3
days before Christmas, a drunk driver on Interstate
75, outside of Knoxville, killed Karen O'Conner's
husband. She and her three children were devastated
when they heard the news. With the rent and utility
payments already behind, and the holidays just around
the corner, she did not want her children to lose
their Christmas, especially since they had already
lost their father.
She
sought help from a local bank and then family, but
the assistance was minimal…Providence was the solution.
The insurance company offered Karen $15,000 for
the loss of her husband. She felt insulted and rejected
their offer. With the support of Providence and
a solid legal team, she settled the matter for a
sum in excess of $500,000 in May of 2001.
