Charlotte was seriously injured in an automobile accident when her Firestone Tires failed and caused the Ford Explorer she was driving to roll over. Providence provided an advance of $50,000 to cover the cost of Air Angel's Emergency Jet service, Home Health Care Physicians services, surgery, and other related medical expenses.

John required an anterior cervical fusion as a result of his vehicle being struck by a tractor-trailer in August of 1999. John did not have medical insurance or the resources to pay for the procedure. Providence pre-paid the surgeon's fee of $16,081 to the Atlanta Neurosurgical Center, $20,000 to the Atlanta Neurosurgical Center, $20,000 to an Atlanta hospital and $3,150 for additional physician services. The procedure was performed within seven days of receiving the payment from Providence.

 

Beth required an anterior lumbar decompression L4-L5-S1, bone grafting and interfixed cage placement. She sustained her injuries as a result of a slip and fall accident at a restaurant in January 1998. The sum of $12,500 was advanced to the Bluegrass Orthopedic Center and the necessary surgical procedures were performed.

Odell required a partial lateral meniscectomy as a result of an automobile accident that occurred in November of 2000. The sum of $3,000 was advanced to Vista Health Care in Texas allowing Odell to receive the necessary medical procedure immediately.

 

Ralph was seriously injured on March 18, 1999 when he was hit while walking down a long, rural highway in Central Ohio. He sustained a severely broken right ankle and other injuries. The sum of $16,000 was advanced to Orthopedic Associates of SW Ohio and the Kettering Medical Center to cover the cost of surgical treatment.
